Heat carriers for local heating systems. Production technology

Purpose

The heat carriers are used as the working fluid in the local heating systems of residential and industrial buildings for protection against freezing and corrosion.

Characteristics

Products “Heat carrier TAG-40 and “Heat carrier TAG-30 of Frioland brand besides its basic functions have a number of additional features:
  • Environmentally safe unlike the heat carriers of traditional brands as they do not contain the toxic substance ethylene glycol;
  • Suitable for different heating systems, including solar heating systems
  • Able to maintain an ideal state of heating systems in the temperature range from -40°C to 108°C for a long period of time (up to 5 years or more);
  • High anticorrosive properties: steel, iron, aluminum
Storage conditions

The product is to be stored and transported in a sealed container via any transport type at a temperature range of -30 40°C to + 50°C.

► “Heat carrier TAG-30" - maximum freezing temperature -30°C.

Shelf life: 3 years from the manufacturing date.

The researchers developed the experimental-industrial technological regulations for two brands of heat carriers for local heating systems “TAG-30" and “TAG-40", technical conditions for the product, manufacturing scheme and the task for production designing. In the course of use of experimental batches of the heat carriers the production process parameters have been studied and analyzed.
In order to prevent delamination of the heat carriers, precipitation, biological growth and to improve the antioxidant, anti-corrosion properties and reduce the compositions viscosity at low temperatures it is recommended to use the additives based on “Preventol O-extra", “CP-1500" and “Keroflux".
