Purpose and characteristic
Wood drying in chamber is actualized under the impact of microwaves. At the same time, the wood in the
chamber is simultaneously and evenly heated along the whole volume of SHF. The radiation penetrates
within the whole depth of the wood, pushing out humidity along open capillaries where it is withdrawn by air
fan heaters.
Principle of action lies in combined dielectric and convectional heating. It dries volumetrically. This principle enables to increase productivity and improve wood quality. The end maximal humidity makes 8%.
The microwave drying chamber is very convenient for small or average manufacturers since it does not require communications supply, ground assembling and special premises preparation. Simplicity in handling, low weight and high mobility makes it still more attractive.
The application of the technology of wood microwave drying enables 1, 5…2 reduction in drying period and 1,5…1,8 reduction in price when drying wood of hard species retaining high quality of the material dried.
