Small-size satellite modular hyperspectrometer of the visible and near-IR range Hyperspectr
The small-size satellite modular hyperspectrometer (MHS) of the visible and near-IR range Hyperspectr provides:
- hyperspectral survey of the Earth from the microsatellite board and processing of the received hyperspectral images;
- study of the spatial structure of natural-anthropogenic terrestrial complexes in the monitoring mode;
- identification of natural and anthropogenic sources of permanent impact on the ecological status of the regions;
- development and adjustment of methods of atmospheric correction of satellite images to obtain the most accurate data about reflecting characteristics of the Earth’s surface;
- determination of differences between similar classes of underlying surfaces.
The small-size satellite modular hyperspectrometer (MHS) of the visible and near-IR range consists of:
- an optical module with a matrix radiation receiver of the range of 0.40-0.95 μm intended for registration of spectral images in the receiver field;
- an electronics module designed to control the operating modes of the optical module, data compressing and transfer to the microsatellite on-board computer;
- special software, designed for MHS control, registration, recording and transmission of hyperspectral images.
The use of data received with hyperspectrometer enables to obtain highly informative data stream about the on the state of various natural (forest and agricultural lands) and economic objects (pollution areas, etc.).
Analysis of the fine structure of the obtained spectra will contribute to the solution of the problem of nanodiagnostics of the objects of natural and anthropogenic spheres.
The results of the project are coordinated with the Russian organization the Scientific and Technological Center of Unique Instrumentation of the Russian Academy of Sciences, which is the consumer of the developed scientific product.
